Cosmology Seminar

The next cosmology seminar takes place on Thursday 10th of September, room E349 at 11:00am. We will have the pleasure to listen to Tomotaka Kuroda from the Institute of Science Tokyo (Japan) and the Institute for Basic Science (Daejeon, Korea).

At 11:00am, room E349, Tomotaka Kuroda will be talking about

Reconsideration of Stochastic Inflation

We investigate the nonlinear extension of stochastic inflation. At second order, non-Markovian effects and quadratic noise appear at the same perturbative order as the usual nonlinear terms. Including both effects, we derive the three-point functions for a scalar field in de Sitter spacetime and for slow-roll inflation. On superhorizon scales, our stochastic results exactly reproduce the corresponding in-in calculations.
